French-Canadian chamber orchestra Les Violons du Roy and chamber choir La Chapelle de Québec will be performing at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on March 25. Conductor Bernard Labadie, who is founder and music director of Les Violons Du Roy and La Chapelle de Québec, will lead the artists through Bach’s St John’s Passion. White party in Perth

US rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs did it. So did Elton John. Now Perth is following suit with Blanca, the city’s first white-themed party, on March 4. The Sunday soiree will be in a marquee overlooking the Swan River. Among the guests will be Myer spokeswoman supermodel Jennifer Hawkins. The food will be provided by Matilda Bay head chef Angelo Nici, the wines by Pepperilly Estate with music from DJ Mishtee. Guests wanting to freshen up can do so at the Blanca Beauty Lounge. Kenneth Lonergan’s play, This Is Our Youth, is coming to the Sydney Opera House with a star-studded cast, including from left to right below, Kieran Culkin (Igby Goes Down, Scott Pilgrim vs The World), Emily Barclay (Suburban Mayhem) and Michael Cera (Juno, Arrested Development,Superbad). It is a scathing look at Upper West Side rich kids muddling their way through life’s hardships.
